Founders

City Road Communications was founded by Marco Callegari and Ramesh Sharma, who have worked together in financial services and B2B publishing since 2005. They set the agency’s direction and growth strategy as part of MVI, while the team above leads client work.

Marco Callegari, Co-founder

Marco Callegari

Co-founder

Marco has built his career across financial services, real estate and B2B publishing. He began at UBM on Building magazine before joining Charterhouse Communications PLC in 2005, where he worked on titles including What Investment, Investment International and What Mortgage.

In 2008 he co-founded The Publishing Group with Ramesh, which became the launchpad for B2B media brands spanning news, software, lead generation and public relations.

Having seen the media from both sides of the publishing coin, Marco understands the pressures journalists face and what makes a business or spokesperson genuinely useful to them. He has shaped CRC around that insight, rather than simply sending journalists more noise.

Co-founder

Ramesh has spent more than four decades in publishing, launching products, developing specialist titles and building media businesses. At Charterhouse Communications, he launched products including Personal Finance magazine, worked on Mortgage Introducer, What Investment and Company REFS, and helped take the business onto the AIM market.

He has worked alongside Marco since 2005. Together they founded The Publishing Group in 2008, which later became MVI, the media business behind UKTN, PropertyWire and City Road Communications.

Today, Ramesh leads on strategy and growth, drawing on his extensive knowledge of publishing to identify opportunities and build businesses with long-term value.
